January 6th – Everbreeze 32nd Annual Fish-O-Ree 13755 Lake Shore Lane in Mountain, for fun day filled with cash prizes, fishing prizes, raffles, food and refreshments. Contact 715-276-7585 for more information. 


February 3rd – Annual “FarFromSnoozin” Bed Races on the Ice at Birch Hills Resort, 16688 Nicolet Road, Townsend. The most fun you can have in your PJ’s. For more information Contact Dawn at 715-276-6195.

February 11th – SIMPLY STEISAND featuring Carla Del Villaggio. Carla Del Villaggio is a multiple award-winning tribute artist entertaining audiences from Miami to Las Vegas to New York City presenting the music of the Greatest Star, the incomparable Barbra Streisand. From the hair down to the trademark nails, wearing meticulously detailed replicas of iconic concert gowns, Carla is Simply Streisand in every way. This amazing artist recreates the excitement and high energy vocals of Streisand’s most powerful numbers, while singing with the beauty and purity of sound essential for the ballads so closely associated with this greatest of all singing actresses. Mark your calendar for this “MUST SEE” event! Located at the Falls Area Performing Arts Center starting at 2:00pm, $40 per ticket.

February 17th – Annual Red Arrow Fish a Ree. 11AM to early evening. Fish Contest, Big ticket raffle, food, beverages, meat raffle and music.  Family friendly event.  Fishing contest-any fish caught within 20 mile radius of Townsend and caught the day of the event.  Event is held at the Townsend Town Hall.

February 17th – Wheeler Lake Ice Fisheree. Join us on Wheeler Lake for the annual Fisheree! Starting at 8:00am till 6:00pm at the Big Bay next to the boat landing on Wheeler Lake.  Fishing registration starts at 8:00am and activities start at 10:00am with live music by Chad Demuse and Paul Hanna from 11:00am to 6:00pm. $10 entry fee for fishing winning categories include: $100 longest northern, $100 longest combined 5 northern, 6 random $100 prizes cash raffle.  Tickets can be bought day of event or at local area restaurants.  Food and refreshments will be served.  This event is fun for all ages, lots of raffles and located on the snowmobile trail.

February 22-25th – Funny Little Thing Called Love. Wabeno Area Players presents “Funny Little Thing Called Love”. For more information go to www.wabenoareaplayers.org. $15 per ticket at the Madonna Hall, 1793 Elm Ave, Wabeno.

February 24th – Annual Turkey Bowling. At the Riverview Town Hall/Fire Department starting at 12:00pm. Get your 4 person teams registered, any age can bowl. Pre-register for $25 per team before February 15th at Mulligan’s or Half-Way Bar or $30 per team after February 15th.  Enjoy chili, sandwiches, beverages, raffles and more throughout the day! February 24th – 25th – Breeds Sportsman’s Club Fish Jamboree. Saturday from 11:00am-6:00pm and Sunday from 10:00am-4:00pm at the Breed Community Center, 11155 Highway 32. Fish prizes, cash raffles, meat wheel, food, refreshments and more at the grounds! Contact Arnie at 920-842-4419.


March 17th – Celebrate Spring Spaghetti Dinner – Held at the Crooked Lake Community Center 15445 Cty Hwy W, Crooked Lake, WI 54114.  Begins at 4 pm and ends at 7 pm.  Includes all you can eat spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, bread sticks, dessert bar, coffee and milk.  Exciting and unique bucket raffles and a separate money tree raffle.  Wine and beer will be sold separately.  Cost for the dinner is $9.00, ages 5-12 is $4.00 and age 4 and under is free. March 24th – Red Arrow Dinner-Play – Red Arrow Dinner-Play at Waubee Lake Lodge.  Entertainment provided by Let me be Frank Productions. This year the play will have a “Northwoods Logging theme”.  Watch www.redarrowtownsend.com for details

March 31st – Children’s Easter Egg Hunt – Annual Easter egg hunt at the Lakewood Town Hall.  Starting at 11:00am and for children from the ages of 4-12. Contact Sandy for more information 715-276-3377. Sponsored by the McCaslin Lioness.

April 29th – Dorf Kapelle Dinner & Show – Celebrate the finest authentic folk music of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic with Director Ernie Broeniman and DORF KAPELLE!  Back by popular demand, this exceptional instrumental ensemble captures the traditional ethnic style of the typical European Village Band with its riveting polkas, waltzes, and marches. You’ll have a chance to join Dorf Kapelle as they invite you to sing along with some of their favorite songs!  Mark your calendar for this exciting afternoon of great music, food, and friendship.  This event also includes chances to win great prizes in numerous bucket raffles and a 50/50 raffle.  Seating is limited – Advanced ticket sales only at $45 each. May  7th – McCaslin Lioness Spring Fashion Show – A fun evening that sells out quickly! Cocktails, dinner, door prizes, raffles and great fashions from local shops! Located at the MaWaubee Lake Lodge in Lakewood starting at 5:00pm.  Please contact Cyndi for more information at 715-276-3473.

May 27th – Mountain Memorial Day Parade – The parade starts at the Old Mountain School House and proceeds down Cty Hwy W starting at 12:00pm.

May 27th – McCaslin Lioness Faire – Our 19th annual event includes something for everyone, from a great selection of independent crafters, to the best silent auction in the area, compliments of our local businesses.  You’ll also find fun games for the kids, including a bouncer.  While indulging on our great food and pies browse the abundant used books and take a chance on the spin wheel.  The Lioness will also have raffle tickets available for great prizes. June 10th – Oconto County Breakfast on the Farm – Get your Dairy On! – All you can eat scrambled eggs with cheese and ham, pancakes, sausage, yogurt, apple slices, cheese, milk, orange juice, coffee and more! June 16th – Annual Nicolet Walk/Run – Walk around Maiden Lake in the heart of the Nicolet Forest, Mountain, WI.  Proceeded from this event will be donated to our local volunteer emergency serviced.  Since the event began we have donated over $77,200.  Venue located at 15618 Maiden Lake Road (Nicolet Plastics). June 30th – Mountain Fireworks Celebration – The day starts with a craft fair at 10:00am, horseshoes at 10:00am, pool tournament at 11:00am, DJ music from noon to 7:00pm, Just Havin Fun Band from 7:00pm to 11:00pm with fireworks at dusk! Food, fun, refreshments, meat wheel and bouncy houses for the kids! All located at the Bill Lazansky Community Building in Mountain.

 July 4th – Gillett Civic Club 4th of July Celebration – Annual celebration at Zippel Park in Gillett. Antique, classic car and truck show, parade, fireworks, live music, food and refreshments. Fireworks on the 4th at dusk! For more information call Stu at 920-373-1050. Find us on Facebook!

July 4th – Fireworks Extravaganza – Fireworks at dusk at the ball park in Townsend!! Parade starting at noon with floats, bands and prizes (Ruth at 715-276-9563) Kid’s games starting at 5:00pm at the ball park for ages 12 and under.  Food and refreshments served on the grounds.  Arts and Crafts at the Townsend Fire Garage from 10:00am-4:00pm. July 11th – Watermelon Eating Contest – Join in some good old-fashioned fun! Kids up to 12 years of age can compete in the watermelon eating contest! Starting at 1:00pm at the Lakewood Memorial Park and Pavilion.  Prizes awarded.  Please contact Dave for more information at 715-276-6678.

July 13th – 15th – Lakewood Mardi Gras

July 19th-22nd – The Dastardly Doctor Devereaux – Wabeno Area Players presents “The Dastardly Doctor Devereaux”. For more information go to www.wabenoareaplayers.org. $15 per ticket at the Wabeno High School, 4325 Branch Street, Wabeno.

July 21st – Doty Fire Department Picnic – Come have some fun with us from 11:00am-8:00pm! Music, food, ice cream, raffles and corn hole tournament.  Proceeds to be used to purchase new equipment for the department. All located at the Doty Fire Department and Town Hall on Hwy T.

July 28th – Annual Wienerfest North – Starting at 11:00am-7:00pm at the Lakewood Pavilion.  All proceeds go to benefiting troops & veterans.  Honor guard presenting colors at noon. August 4th – Lakes Country Arts & Crafts Show – 280 booths occupied by 215 vendors all offering original work starting at 9:00-3:00pm! Free admission to event.  Food and refreshments will be available on grounds at the Lakewood Town Hall and Activity Center in Lakewood. For more information contact 715-276-3956. August 4th – Luau on the Beach – Come join in the fun! Paddle boat races with a twist.  Registration for races begins at 3:00pm, races start at 4:00pm.  2 person teams are $10 per person – 100% payout. Boats are provided.  Karaoke on the beach from 6:00pm-11:00pm with a limbo contest at 9:00pm.  Bring your own lawn chair and have a great time! All at Birch Hill Resort in Townsend. August 4th – Schoolhouse Bar Annual Corn Roast – Come on out for some “recess”. Live music, serving brats, burgers and your favorite cold beverages.  Free corn starting at noon at the Schoolhouse Bar in Mountain.

August 18th – Hidden Bear Trail ATV Club Fundraiser – Held at Animal’s Bear Trail Inn from noon to 6:00 pm.  Animal’s Bear Trail Inn is located at the corner of Hwy 64 & Hwy T in Mountain WI (Township of Doty).  The event will include over 100 – $1.00 meat raffles with 3 prizes for each raffle.  There will also be a Gun Raffle, 50-50 raffles and other raffles throughout the day.  The HBT ATV Club will also be serving great food cooked by our own chef’s Dave & Con-Bon.  There will also be refreshments served outside throughout the event.  At 6:00 pm we will be drawing the winner of our cash raffle.  These cash raffle tickets can be purchased prior to the event at Animal’s Bear Trail Inn, Halfway Bar in Mountain, The School House Bar & Grill in Mountain and at Anderson’s Supper Club in Lakewood or by contacting Jim Wisneski, Secretary HBT ATV club at 920-562-7872 or via email at hiddenbeartrailatvclub@centurytel.net.  Last year’s grand prize for the cash raffle was $4000.00 with a total payout of $12,250.00. August 19th – St. Mary’s of the Lake 22nd Annual Parish Picnic – Start your day with our outdoor polka mass at 10:00am in the grounds behind the church then follow the Marosek Brothers band over to the Lakewood Pavilion for a day of fun! Raffles, games, brats, burgers, nachos, cotton candy, ice cream cones and our famous booyah and Fr. Philip’s Famous Egg Rolls.  Dance to the music, enjoy a bite to eat and enjoy this great day of family fun. Starting at 11:00am-4:00pm at the Lakewood Pavilion.

August 25th – 5th Annual Pork’n Beans Invitational Mini Golf Outing – Registration starting at 11:00am at the Sleepy Hollow Mini Golf Course in Townsend, shot gun start at noon.  Raffles and refreshments. 2 per teams, $25 per team.  Pre-register by calling 715-276-6195.  Dinner, more raffles and fun after golf at My Bar/Birch Hills Resort in Townsend. Fall 2018 – Taste of Oconto County – 26th Annual tasting event starting at 1:00pm-4:00pm at Romy’s Holiday Inn in Kelly Lake. Purchase your ticket at the door and receive a complimentary wine glass! Once inside, try samples from area businesses and restaurants. September 2nd – Lakewood Firefighter’s 33rd Annual Picnic – Music, food, raffles and free sweet corn! Starting at noon till 8:00pm at the Lakewood Pavilion. For more information call Randy at 715-276-7222.

October 13th – Oktoberfest – Begins at 11 AM with crafters and Beer Garden at the Crooked Lake Community Center, 15445 Cty Hwy W.  There will be minnow races for young and old, free pumpkin decorating for the children, free hay rides through picturesque Crooked Lake and a meat raffle that begins at 1:00.  A delicious dinner which includes, roasted pork, stuffing, sauerkraut, applesauce, German potato Salad, baby red potatoes, marble rye bread and black forest cake will be served from 1 – 5.  Throughout the day, music will be supplied by the local favorite disc jockey, Whitey.  Bring your lederhosen and come join in the fun. November 25th – Lakewood Christmas Tree Lighting – Join us for the lighting ceremony of the Christmas tree in Lakewood.  Takes place on Hwy 32 and St. Mary’s Road in Lakewood. Hot chocolate and caroling!

December 1st – Riverview Christmas Tree Lighting – 30+ lighted trees adopted by local businesses with many of the trees complete with decorations.  Inside the community center the children are welcomed into a winter wonderland called Santa’s Village where they can share their Christmas list with Santa. Free ice skates available for use on the family rink, dependent upon weather.  All starting at 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Town of Riverview Community Center.  For more information call 715-850-1473.
