The Nicolet National forest is rich in wildlife. The ranch is a comfortable, warm spot to hang your hat and coat after a long day of hunting. Enjoy heating up hot meal specialties from home; sitting by the fire; and exchanging stories of the days hunt. The most popular seasons are for deer, bear, grouse, and turkeys.
Deer Hunting season is fast upon us for 2011. The Nicolet National Forest provides over 1/2 million acres for public hunting during the various seasons throughout the year. Deer is probably the most popular of the hunting seasons and brings many hunters to the area. However, the forest has many turkeys; grouse; bear and other species that have open seasons during the year.
