OPEN HOUSE A SUCCESS IN SPITE OF WINTER
STORM
Pictures are worth a thousand words. Check it out. Our first annual open
house was great. We had over a hundred people that attended and got a jumpstart
on their Christmas shopping. Our vendors are already excited about next year.
Thorn did an awesome job giving rides around the ranch.
A special thank you to Gary Allen 24/7 Well and Pump Service for joining us with
his friends Ann and Jody, as they drove Thorn for us for the day. Thank you to
Emily Jaeger who helped folks on and off the wagon. Thank you to Kevin and
Shelly Buntin for taking care of Bunkhouse activity, and orderly parking of
cars. Thank you to Barb Witte for handling the food and drinks in the Bunkhouse.
Thank you to all our vendors, hope to see you again next year.
Congratulations to Christine Riihimaki
,
she is the winner of our 2007 Photo Contest. We had 7 entries this year and over
a hundred votes. Two of our photograph entries were neck and neck for most the
day, but Christine is our winner, and gets the two night stay in our Maple
Cabin. Special mention goes out to Tina Solnik, her photo was the second
favorite of the day
.

DISCOVER WISCONSIN
For those of you who were involved in our Discover Wisconsin shoot. At this
point in time it is scheduled to air March 8 and 9, 2008. You will need to check
your local listings as to time and channel. When and if I know something more
specific I will include it on the website.
GIFT CERTIFICATES
You still have time to purchase gift certificates for that special someone on
your Christmas list.
Call (800)644-8783 or email annm@spurofthemomentranch.org to purchase a gift
certificate for lodging or massage. We now have Spur of the Moment Ranch
sweatshirts and/or our spur mugs to make the gift complete.

SNOW – SNOW – SNOW – SNOW – SNOW
I
am
sure that you are aware our winter season is off and running. Saturday we had
our first winter storm of the year. Our snow total was about 8 inches. It was
beautiful up in the north woods. Hopefully it will continue. Let the ranch be
your winter getaway too.
Put
up your feet, bring a good book, some movies, board games, or venture out to
cross country ski, snow shoe, snowmobile, and/or ice fish. When you get back and
your body is sore and you can hardly move, schedule a massage. The ranch is a
beautiful place in the winter too. The snowmobile trails are open, groomed and
good condition. While they change daily current information will be added as
required or check the Oconto County
Snowmobile Alliance Website.

CARRIAGE OPERATORS OF NORTH AMERICA
Skip and I are planning to attend the Carriage Operators of North America
convention for our second year. We are thinking about adding a carriage drive
component to the ranch next season. Keep your eye on the
www.spurofthemomentranch.org newsletter for further details.
A
Prosperous
and HAPPY NEW
YEAR TO EVERYONE!
